My name is Holly and I’m a food-loving Brooklynite—but Vermonter at heart—with lots of food projects to document.
I’m lucky to live in a food mecca of DIY’ers, farm-to-table restaurants, farmers’ markets, and the gamut of tastes – pastrami and pickles to kombucha and salty dark chocolate. In other words: old meets new.
I’ve been cooking up a storm lately and wanted to share my adventures. That’s me in the photo above at a food market in Male, capital of the Maldives, in 2011. Same market below. Bottom, the Union Square Greenmarket.
Hey sis,
I love it, especially the Easter post! It made me think of all the sugar and junk I used to eat!!
Love,
Hope
Now I’m sorry I didn’t try to grab that cookbook of Hope’s! I’m glad it’s gone to such a loving home. Too bad about the carrot cake. I’ve got the Bakery Lane Soup Bowl (late and lamented of Middlebury, VT) recipe, which I consider to be the ne plus ultra of carrot cakes. Happy to share, and I love the blog,
Bonnie
I’m addicted now.
My summer writing class mysteriously requires The Gastronomica Reader and An Alphabet for Gourmets, so I hope to contribute a worthy post with some good southern food soon!
